SHOWS

The Midland Bedlington Terrier Club holds three shows each year.

In Spring (usually in February) we have an Open Show, which is followed by the

Annual General Meeting. This show is currently held at Yelvertoft Village Hall but is currently subject to review

In the early Summer, at the beginning of June, we hold our Championship Show. The venue is currently Roade Village Hall (again, under review)

In September is our second Open Show, held at Corley Village Hall.

All the venues are easy to access from main routes through the Midlands.

Our proposed show dates for 2021 are:

Saturday 27 February

Open Show (Judge Mr Tony Alcock)

followed by the Annual General Meeting

at Roade Village Hall, Northants

Sunday 13 June - by kind permission of the Kennel Club

we are holding 2 championship shows on the same day.

The shows will be held in the East Hall of the KC building

at Stoneleigh

Championship Show (Judge Mrs Viv Rainsbury)

postponed from 2020 - morning show

Championship Show  (Judge Mr Roy North)

afternoon show

Saturday 25 September (Judge Miss Jenny Startup)

Open Show at Corley Village Hall (subject to review)

Besides hosting our own shows, we also support a number of other shows throughout the year.  This support consists of suggesting three judges for the Show Society to select from, along with special rosettes and MBTC Diplomas.

This means that we can help  up and coming judges who have the backing of a the MBTC to progress up the judging ladder.  Our support indicates that we have confidence in these judges' ability to do a good, honest and fair job of assessing the entry.

We hope our support encourages exhibitors to give these judges a good entry

Due to the cancellation of many shows due to covid19, we have not yet finalised details of our supported entry shows for 2021

With regret, in light of the current Covid19 situation, the Officers and Committee have decided that the February show and AGM must be postponed until the restrictions have eased and we are able to reschedule.  We hope to hold the show later in the year.

Further information regarding the AGM will be notofied as soon as we can
